Dyslexia and Visual DifficultiesAdil Kaloogi - Behavioual Optometrist/ Dyslexia and Visual Stress Specialist

Behavioural Optometry assesses how the whole body, brain and eyes function together, rather than just considering the eyes in isolation. 20% of the population have problems processing the vision they receive from their eyes. There is no fundamental problem with their eyes; they simply haven’t developed the control and skill needed to use their visual system well in particular situations. Amongst those with dyslexia, visual processing can affect as many as 67%.

In the 60 minutes webinar, which includes a Q&A, Adil explains how to detect the signs and symptoms, and gives an insight into the treatment options available.

Adil says, ‘Dyslexia has always been a subject close to my heart, because some family members have struggled with dyslexia. As an Optometrist, my career-long goal is to raise awareness and to make a difference for people with SpLDs, to give something back to the community’. Adil very kindly volunteered his time to give the webinar. Adil’s website: https://eye-expert.co.uk/
