A talk by Margaret Rooke
Tuesday 18 February at 2:30pm - in person meeting
This meeting, at Christ Church Purley, is during the half term holiday so parents can bring their youngsters to hear and talk to an author.
Margaret Rooke is visiting CDA, ready to talk about her latest book - Meet the Dyslexia Club (The Amazing Talents, Skills and Everyday Life of Children with Dyslexia.)
The Dyslexia Club is a group of dyslexic children who talk about their lives, what their schooldays are like and what they are great at - you might recognise some of their strengths as things that you can do too!
This book also provides guidance for parents and teachers, with advice on how they can support children with suspected or diagnosed dyslexia, and signposts further resources and bonus content.
Margaret will be talking about why it's important to listen to your child with dyslexia and how to encourage and inspire them. She has talked to hundreds of children (and adults) with dyslexia – including her own daughter.
All are welcome – children with adults. Please do tell others who may be interested about this free event.
Venue - Christ Church Purley, on the A235, between 861 and 863 Brighton Road, Purley, CR8 2BN
